labor of love Project

The Six Star Labor of Love Project is our way of giving back to the community that has supported us. Each year, we select a local individual or family whose vehicle is in need of specific repairs they cannot afford — and our team donates the labor and care needed to get them safely back on the road.

Terms and Conditions

Submission Guidelines & Timelines

The Six Star Labor of Love Project is designed to help one community member or family in genuine need of safe, reliable transportation. To ensure fairness and authenticity, all submissions must follow the guidelines below.

HOW TO APPLY

1. Write a Handwritten Letter

    • Limit to one (1) page.
    • Describe your current situation, your plan to improve it, and how this project would help.
    • Letter must be handwritten — not typed, printed, or emailed — to help preserve sincerity and authenticity.
    • Letter must include the person’s name, address, phone number, email address, and the Year/Make/Model of the related vehicle being submitted.
    • We understand that writing about personal circumstances can feel uncomfortable. The purpose of this letter is not to make anyone “beg” for help. It exists simply to help us understand each person’s situation, goals, and needs so that we can make the most thoughtful choice possible with our limited resources. Every story matters to us, and each letter will be treated with respect, empathy, and confidentiality.

2. Deliver Your Letter

    • Deliver your letter to:

      We are open Monday–Thursday, 7:00am–6:00pm
    • Letters must be dropped off in person, or placed in our drop box out front. Please do not mail or email your submission, they will be excluded from acceptance.

    • Late submissions cannot be accepted.

    • Only one submission per household may be considered.
    • All personal information will remain confidential.
    • Submissions will not be returned, as they become part of the Labor of Love Project record.
    • Incomplete or anonymous letters cannot be accepted.

SELECTION CONSIDERATIONS
While every story matters, Six Star Automotive will select a recipient based on the following general criteria:

    • Authenticity: Honest, heartfelt expression of current circumstances
    • Effort: A clear plan to use this “hand up” to improve one’s situation
    • Impact: How the repair would directly help the recipient regain stability, mobility, or opportunity
